Re: JR Air Filter. FR-08504
Can someone explain why these are so good? I am a new diamond owner and would love any other suggestions on products worth installing on my engine to enhance performance, longevity, safety...
Thanks!
Thanks!

You should have a spare as they tend to split at the base and should be inspected regularly.

Re: JR Air Filter. FR-08504
Thomas you are the Guardian Angel of this forum. Transporting critical parts back and forth. THANK YOU!
Regarding the air filter:
It is made in France (like me), for some reason it is the OEM part that Diamond chose.
From own experience, it is good quality, but nothing extraordinary compared to other quality filters such as K&N. Unfortunately, JR's products are not distributed in the US and they don't ship.
These filters are supposed to have very long life if cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Sadly mostly A&Ps will blow compressed air in them from the inside out which instantly trashes them.
A spare is a wise idea, and maybe print out the instructions for the A&P or do it yourself and ask them not to do it in your annual list.
There is a thread somewhere about a K&N compatible part, but if you can get the original I would just avoid unnecessary changes to the certified package.
