Hi Tod,
Just a short a short update this time.

Rod is working hard on the AFMS (supplement). I've seen two drafts so far and it's mostly done. The part that is taking the longest is the updating of the performance charts. The person who will-be/is doing the charts is very busy so some things take longer than we would hope for.

Anyway, this AFMS is what the FAA wants to see next so it is in the works.

"Shouldn't be long"
Ha, I've been saying that for years. But really, it SHOULDN'T be long. Most reassuring thing though, is that we keep managing to check off items in the 'Done' column.

I admire your patience and perseverance. I just realized that your first post about this project is from 6 years ago. :bow

Like any great endeavor, if you knew how long and hard it was going to be at the start, you would never get of bed. Can't wait to see those performance charts!

Wow, I had meant to respond to this some weeks ago when I initially saw it (and, honestly, I had thought I had), but in checking the thread today, it seems that I didn't. Apologies. Soooooo...

Thank you, Brock. Much appreciate the update. Fingers crossed. :D

This has been one of the great one-off projects in small GA innovation. Woody Allen had it right about showing up.

Any chance we can get you over to the annual KMYL Airport Fly-in and Open House this summer Brock? (Actually, your aircraft, you can come along if you want :D .) Right now we are toggling between July 15 and July 4. The city wants us to join the rest of them on the 4th. McCall jumps from 2,500 to 50,000 or more on the 4th. We are weighing the pros and cons.

RW, McCall sounds like a lot of fun. Let me know when the dates are finalized.

Update from Rod

Post by BRS »

From time to time Rod emails out a little update. For those of you not on his email list here is today's update.

Hello everyone,

The Flight Manual Supplement is drafted and awaiting DER review and then the string of FAA signatures.

The big package at the end is the STC File Check List. It is everything we have produced in the last 5 1/2 years, and in paper form, and in boxes, and stored by the FAA. I am making pretty good progress.

As I have said many times before, I hope we finish this project this spring.

Thank you again to everyone for your continued support.

Another month, a few more inches closer to completion. Here is the latest update from Rod...

Hello everyone,

I spoke with the FAA last week. I know the good guys are anxious to get this done and I can tell they want to go smoothly once that have all our data.

I have the STC File Check List about completed but I am waiting on our DER to finish up and sign the Type Inspection Report, that is the big one on all the testing, and the Flight Manual Supplement.

He is being slow but that is because he has taken on other work during the 6 years that this project has taken. I will continue to bug him. He is a good man and will get it finished.

We are very close. I will report again in a month.
