Leaking Aerox O2 tank filler valve
Anyone have experience changing out the schrader valve core from a portable Aerox O2 tank? Mine is about 3 years old, and now has a slow leak. The Aerox folks said to take out the core and try cleaning it, try snugging the current one a bit, or replace the core. Snugging gently helped, but did nit cure, and I don't want to take it out now as I just filled it. Allegedly, it is a "speceial" O2 core that Aerox sells for $12 with standard FedEx ground shipping for $17 ! Aircraft Spruce sells an identical looking generic schrader core for $5 with $3 shipping. Any thoughts? I have a hard time shelling out $30 for a $1 part.
