I've use Foreflight's radar overlay to see more or less current weather radar when at home. We've had some spectacular thunderstorms in Northern California lately and it's a great way to watch their approach.
Yesterday I was driving across the state, mostly just below a large band of thunderstorms, and realized I could use the web browser in my Tesla to observe Foreflight's weather radar while in the car. I drove for thee hours with FF constantly updating the weather radar and showing me the boundaries of the band of thunderstorms.
