Yikes, glad everyone is OK. It speaks volumes about the safe design of this plane. How many small aircraft could land in a place like that with no significant injuries?

It's great that everyone is ok, I hope we'll get some info about sudden loss of power that led to crash landing.

The landing site is approx. 8000ft, it was a hot summer day, max. ROC acc. AFM for the Rotax 912 powered DV20 100hp shows 200-300 ft/min.
Acc.to local police they flew into wrong valley. It looks very much like a CFIT due to poor climb performance in rising terrain. Then, emergency landing just under the ridge, greatly handled without stalling close to ground. Otherwise it would be called crash.

Boy, that is really rocky where they put down. Glad they are safe.
