Yikes, glad everyone is OK. It speaks volumes about the safe design of this plane. How many small aircraft could land in a place like that with no significant injuries?

It's great that everyone is ok, I hope we'll get some info about sudden loss of power that led to crash landing.

The landing site is approx. 8000ft, it was a hot summer day, max. ROC acc. AFM for the Rotax 912 powered DV20 100hp shows 200-300 ft/min.
Acc.to local police they flew into wrong valley. It looks very much like a CFIT due to poor climb performance in rising terrain. Then, emergency landing just under the ridge, greatly handled without stalling close to ground. Otherwise it would be called crash.
