My wife just did a pinch hitter course this past weekend.

Ron, that is awesome that your wife took the pinch hitter course... and that it's working!
Thanks for sharing the details,
Wayne
Shortly after purchasing my first Diamond Star back in 2003, my wife decided that she should learn how to land the plane. So she signed up for a 10 hour pinch hitting course at our local flight school at KTOA. After just a few hours in the cockpit, she really started to get into flying the airplane. She then made the decision to get her PP certificate, then went on to receive her instrument and advanced FAA ground instructor certificate. The biggest benefit to having a pilot wife is that we both took CRM training together and use those protocols as a cockpit team when flying. The spill over of the CRM training is we now work together better as a team on other things we encounter in our daily life outside the cockpit. Who would have known?
I would highly recommend for others to have their flying partner take a 10 hour pinch hitting course using a professional flight instructor. The end results may surprise you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnDdrj7ZmhE
