For wind arrows, Profile View = the Vertical Situation Display (VSD) on the 'Map - Navigation Map' Page on G1000 NXi.

Yes, here's what it says in the DA62 NXi Phase II manual:

If the FIS-B option is installed and FIS-B is the active data link weather source, the Winds Aloft weather product also displays temperatures aloft next to the winds aloft arrows on the ‘Map -Weather Data Link (FIS-B)’ Page.

But they're not displayed on the Vertical Situation Display (aka Profile View) unless you have SXM weather services. Here's another note from the DA62 NXi Phase II manual:
NOTE: Winds Aloft information will not be available on the VSD Inset Window if FIS-B is the active data link weather source.
I get the Winds Aloft softkeys and indicators that it's being received, but no wind barbs on the wx map. And with Foreflight connected to the panel I also don't see the Winds Aloft in FF. I submitted an inquiry to Diamond last Wednesday. They're checking to see if it's supposed to work or not...

And interestingly, the NXi Phase II manual does not contain the caveat about the VSD requiring SXM. But then the manual also documents the yaw damper, which of course the DA40 does not have! The manual is a less than reliable source.

Russ:
While you won't get wind barbs on the Vertical Situation Display of your plane, I'm surprised that they don't show up on the Map - Weather Data Link (FIS-B) page, since you have a GTX345R. To see the barbs requires you to choose a Winds altitude on the softkeys, AND often requires you to zoom out quite a ways.
