Thanks. It worked out well, though I now know I don’t want to be a movie star. ‘Yes that was good but could we just do another take with you looking to the left...” etc. took all day to do 2 minutes of footage.
Of course I knew I shouldn’t tempt fate by saying all those nice things about her, as a few flights later, ECU failure resulting in the longest three seconds of my life so far. At least I now know I can handle an engine failure, until it kicked over to the other ECU and came back on line!
I am still sure that flying over water in a single piston even with a raft/jacket is not something I would do, given where I fly it is Bass Straight, essentially part of the great southern ocean. In my twin, yes.
