I've had good luck with the LP Aero Plastics polish and sealant.

Re: Unbelievable product for removing canopy scatches
I'm currently polishing my canopy with "rhobaAIR Aeropolish SPR". First results are very good both manually polishing and using machine. However, deeper scratches are fixed with sandpaper.

God i cringe everytime a AP touches our plane or an exotic goes to the shop for an engine out service. I've decided all mechanics are either ham fisted or just don't give a damn.

Any new PIREPs or updates on technique? What cloth did you use to rub it out? How much pressure?

Shipping to us is $43, ouchDon wrote:I usually do not get excited about a product. That said, I would rate this six stars out of five. About a year ago, my A&P scratched my canopy when attaching the top engine cowling back on my plane. I then purchase several acrylic scratch remover products, including Meguiars, and none of them even slightly removed the scratch. At my company, we work a lot with extremely large acrylic parts so I asked the department head what they were currently using to remove scratches. He handed me a container of a new scratch remover we had just received for the first time a few weeks prior. He also added that this stuff is like magic. He said that Boeing had been at our faculty doing a source inspection and recommenced this German made product to use on their acrylic rear projection flight simulation screens. On the way home, I stopped by my hanger and gave it a try. With just a minimum of hand rubbing on the scratch this product completely removed the scratch. Now, I can't even find where the scratch was.
It is called C-Klear 707. Anyway, I thought I would share with my fellow Diamond pilots and owners.
