Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up

For starters, I’d like to thank:
1) Mickey for adding his Canadian registered DA40 to the list and with a pending response / clarification out of the London factory, we hope he doesn't sell his airplane anytime soon. Unfortunately I've heard from others who have or are in the process of.
2) Arkadiusz for signing up his TDI DA-42. He also scored a perfect 100% - with regards to the completeness of the data he provided. This is also the first Polish registered aircraft on the list.
Both aircraft, once again, highlight the global reach of DAN and the worldwide representation within the petition itself.
Next, my apologies to Curt for the slow response.
We simply don’t know if the G3X will ever become STC’d for DA. Yet it really should be an AML slam dunk for the steam gauge DA40’s – as Tommy and I have encouraged these owners to organize and then advocate for Garmin to obtain STC’s (with all their great new products, such as the G5, GFC500 and, of course, the G3X touch display).
Another exciting avenue for these owners to pursue is the Genesys / STEC 3100 A/P - as discussed in the “Autopilots are the answer, not the problem“ thread (the G5 will need to be approved first or in conjunction with). viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7084
In addition to the G1000 petition and other related activities (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6946#p75287), there is also a parallel effort by DAN members to encourage Dynon Avionics to enter the integrated avionics market, with their new flagship HDX touchscreen displays leading the way. And note the very reasonable prices:

Finally Curt, please see the recent thread started by Emir and consider adding your aircraft to this list:
