@Peter: I am quite sure you can get a refund and I would say the owner didn't close the forum on purpose but that it was negligence, lack of whatever you want to name it, and that he was as surprised as you. If you paid through PayPal, it won't be a problem to get a refund anyway. (I am not even sure if Paypal was an option)
@Brad: most members of the DAA are on board already. Some or most of them have become active here, too. Of course, if there was anybody who didn't join us yet, he will be received with open arms and I am open to suggestions what needs to be done to get the last few on board.

There is a problem with a change in the server software that is breaking the bulletin board code. I really don't understand the details, but Phil is trying to get it repaired.bcocheran wrote:yeah! they got me too! Had me for 2 days, then collapse!! I only ask that everyone here try to consider the feelings of all so that we can play nice.

Re: The "Other" DAA
Hey everyone, no hurt feelings intended here. I joined and was active for a couple days, then they closed. To be hoenst, I started looking here, based simply on the accuract of the posts. We are ALL DIAMOND OWNERS, from both forums (or so it seems). As a newbie, it made and still makes the most sense to me to belong to an active group as I have a large learning curve and like the quick response and number of active people here.
I have nothing against the other group, simply noted that they have been down for ever (in internet website terms) and that doesn't look good. I hope all who were/are there will join here too. The more Diamond experience that exists in any forum, the better the information to each user of the forum. I hope everyone gets all the information they need for whatever their source of informaiton. I am thoroughly enjoying this site and its users!

If you paid by credit card or PayPal I would contest the charge.Peter Cecil wrote:And they were good enough to accept my subscription a day before going off air.....how thoughtful.
Re: The "Other" DAA
Just for info'.
I contacted PayPal to raise a dispute. They suggested that a more expeditious action, in addition to raising a dispute, would be to telephone DAA. They gave me a number beginning with a 401 code. Three attempts and three "The number you dialed is not in service" messages.
The amount is not a great deal, USD19.00. But I hate being fleeced.
If anyone reading this thread knows the owner, please tell him he /she is doing themselves no favors at all.
I believe the contact email address is DiamondAviator@cox.net for anyone else who may be in a similar situation.

Re: The "Other" DAA
bcocheran, as has been explained in earlier posts; server/computer issues. I am glad that they have that sorted.
