Actually, that isn't the oil drain, but the access plug for the oil sump screen (elephant filter). It should be checked at each oil change anyway. I hope you used a new copper/asbestos crush gasket, as they are good for a single tightening only (maybe thats why it seemed so loose?). The gasket has to be installed with the split toward the sump. Torque value is actually 135 degrees of turn past first contact of the sealing surfaces when tightening.Gasser wrote:Got mine changed today. I used the rear bolt on the oil sump.
