Actually I received the incorrect belts, a bit too long. They were 2.0 belts. One can no longer get 1.7 belts , you would have to get your replacement belts from National Aircraft Parts Supply or Airplane Zone. That would be : Continental part number 4050505. one might also find the belts at your local M.B. dealer.

The time has come for new 2.0 engines for my airplane. One can no longer get gearboxes inspected nor can you get clutches. With a 14 week lead time I will be taking 16 FA to Glenn for new mills and prop overhauls etc. My 1.7's have 920 hours and the gearboxes/clutches are at 240 hours. I guess I will be happy with the 2.0's.

As it turns out I am selling the airplane. The insurance company hates me.

Tim, My insurance company raised my rates by 50% and wants a third class medical. I have been flying on basic med. and will not be going back to special issue medicals, Also my need has changed since the sale of my Florida house. I am going to light sport , a Tecnam p 2008 turbo.
If you need a can cable I have one for sale.

I think David is referring to a CAN (Car Area Network)-bus USB cable used to connect a laptop computer to Continental/Thielert engines for diagnostics and software updates. (A different CAN-bus cable is needed to diagnose and update Austro engines.)
