New DA62 On the Way!
Greetings all!
I am new to the Forum, so wanted to say hello. Like a few other folks, I put in an order for a DA62 in late July right before the August Price increase. Projecting Q1 2023 delivery.
Finished up my Commercial ASEL in June, and am almost ready for my AMEL check ride. Doing the AMEL in an Aztec out of convenience, but I'll have access to a DA42 to fly between now and 2023 to get a bit more familiar with the Diamonds. Should also be able to get a few DA62 flights prior the transition training when the plane comes. Can't wait!

Congrats and welcome to the Waiting Club! I ordered mine in June and expect a Q3 2022 delivery. It’s going to be a long wait for all of us!

Congrats! I purchased mine used on Dec 29th, 2020!!! I couldn't wait... It ended up in an annual and NXi Phase 2 upgrade (which I've loved) for 2 months... but I've still flown it 170+ hours this year! It's an amazing plane!!!

Re: New DA62 On the Way!
I think that prices on the few used DA62s that have come on the market have gone up significantly in 2021. Right now, they are selling for above the new price, by about 10% based on a couple data points. The 2020 in which I got my demo ride (with 275 hours) sold for 1.55 mm back in June or July. And Steel Aviation has a used one for sale with 375 hours listed at $1.599 mm. So those of us with orders in and deposits down are, at least as of right now, money ahead. Which is saying something about both the airplane and this market … (and the law of supply and demand generally).
No complaints here, other than the wait time …

Re: New DA62 On the Way!
Mine is coming in April 2022. I just fought through the crowded airport for two hours…. I really can’t wait for it to arrive and fly a different way around Europe. The test flight in Austria was amazing it was my 4 th hour in a plane,
And I have to say that it was easy with a bit of guidance to take off land and fly through the local valleys around the mountains.
Safe flying all

Re: New DA62 On the Way!
Thanks to everyone. I actually still have not flown in the DA62. I flew the DA42 and really liked it. I am heading to the east coast to demo a DA62, hopefully in November. Just passed my Multi-Engine Check ride this week!
