Drift down to FL130 with one engine and 14,000 peaks would gives me a moment's pause.
At 13,000’ something like 95% of the terrain is below me, and all of the mountain passes are below 12,500’. Besides, I don’t do these flights in IMC at max gross, so I would have plenty of options if I were to have to feather one.

What altitude did you film that at?
Whoops! Looks like I posted the wrong video: this was a magazine shoot at sunrise over the plains northeast of Denver. We were level at 7000’ for the shoot.

Nice videos!

How did you mount the GoPro to the plane? I read that their suction cup mount will stay on up to 200mph, but I’m scared to use a suction cup at da62 speeds.

You're right to be wary of suction cup mounts -- it's not just the airspeeds, it's the lowered atmospheric pressure as you climb that will cause suction cup mounts to come loose in flight.

I use the N-flight Cam ball mount. It comes with a spud that can be bolted into one of the wingtip or stab tip attachment holes. The spud stays in place semi-permanently while the rest of the ball mount and camera attach to the spud when you want to capture video or stills.

I'm planning an earthrounding in 2022. :) I would like to do some filming while flying. Has anyone experience of suggestions on how other countries allow to film outside of your airplane?

Thanks Marcel

Is there a servo controlled camera mount?

Consider asking this question to Micke Lange (also on Youtube). He and Martin Scherrer are two Diamond Aircraft pilots who ferry airplanes to many exotic locations. Micke takes video and photos en route (and posts them online) and likely has some knowledge and experience regarding your question.

I use a 360 degree camera, and then I edit the camera view in post. So, same effect, but don't need the servo mount.
