However a guard was added to the DA40NG switch because of the unfortunate proximity of the Engine Master to the smaller but similar backup electric fuel pump switch -- student pilots were accidentally shutting down the engine when only intending to turn the backup electric fuel pump on or off. (The DA62 uses very different white plastic rocker switches for backup electric fuel pumps -- so there's little chance for confusion.)
2. The wet compass isn't located in the instrument panel, but up high above the windscreen in front of the sun visors.
