DA-62 in Part 135 program

Post by Khardiganmd »

Starting a Part 135 charter using A DA-42-6 but aspirations are to move onto a DA-62 for obvious reason of seats and useful load. Does anyone have experience with use of a DA-62 in a charter operation. Ballpark rates ? ( obviously regional). Would greatly appreciate learned perspective from Diamond Community.

That DA62 out of Long Beach is a dry lease, $600/hr wet. Not available for charter.

I know there is a charter DA62 with a Part 135 operator at Monterey (KMRY). I've seen it a few times down in Orange County and chatted with the pilot once. Seems like they keep it busy. https://www.mpijet.com/diamond-da-62

Aviation Consumer this month happens to touch on the substantial number of extra stuff you have to take on to establish and maintain a Part 135 operation. I assume you've looked into all this (or better yet, have done this in the past)?
