Hello fellow DA62 owners:

Any recommendations on where to get an annual done? I was going to take my aircraft back to London but it looks like crossing the border may be a bit problematic these days. I'm located in the midwest, so looking for something in that area.

I just had my DA40NG annual done at SouthTec Aviation in Salisbury, NC (near Charlotte) in late February. (I'm based in DFW.). They did a terrific job for me. Glenn Lawler and his crew really know their Diamond Aircraft and Austro Engines!

I looked into taking my plane back to London, but Ed Hollestelle explained they were scheduling 3-4 months out. This was before the coronavirus situation. And flying to Canada in February in a non-FIKI plane would have been (d)icey.

Yes, I suppose that would work. At least it is a non-stop commercial flight home from there. (Or at least it was a week ago, not sure anymore.)

Premiere is opening a shop there and I am sure that is where I will be taking my plane for its annual in May.

My DA62 is based at M54 - Lebanon, TN and our A&P has completed the Diamond DA62 training in London, Ontario. He's a great guy and runs a first rate shop. He did my annual and will do so again this summer.
