For those on the board actually flying the DA62, what true airspeed do you use for your flight planning?

I find myself typically filing 168 KTAS, book value for 75% at 10,000. Adjust +/- 3 KTAS per 2000 ft difference. Although when flying, I find myself settling in at 80% fairly often. For whatever reason, the throttles seem to find that position and hold it better.

I also use different speeds for flight planning in our DA62, typically based on altitude.

In Foreflight I created multiple Performance Profiles depending on whether I'm flying low (75%, 8000 feet 170 kts), high without O2 (75%, 12,000 feet, 175 kts), high with O2 (75%, 16,000 feet, 180 kts), or max performance if I really need to get somewhere faster (95%, 14,000 feet, 195 kts).

Note these speeds are slightly better than book, because I'm rarely flying near max gross weight.

85% seems to result in ~ 175ktas and 16.2 gph across a reasonable range of cross country altitudes.

as thumb rule:

at 10,000 ft:

60% 160 6.0 gallons per side
75% 175 7.5 gallons per side
80% 180 8.0 gallons per side

and so on

so easy to remember

That's very close to what I file for my DA42 (with CD155 engines) - 166 KTAS.
