Hello Folks
Just purchased a new 2020 DA-62 two weeks ago N502LA and wow what a nice aircraft it is. New to Diamond new to the forum just wanted to make a quick post and will put some pictures up and more info soon.

Scott,
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you last week and getting in some flights in your magnificent new ride. Some posts I've made over the years that might help get you settled into the new platform:
After you get your JetShades and Stratus 3, you might want to fabricate a mount (easy to do) to optimize the value of both:

Just so you feel even better about your purchase, your aircraft is at the top of the piston twin market price/performance wise by a pretty wide margin, and the next step up twin is nearly an order of magnitude more costly at not that much of a payload/perfomance increase.

If you have ground mounted tracks for hangar door wheels, this might help:

While this post shows why the DA42-VI kicks the Baron G58's ass at distances beyond 390 nm, it also shows the DA62's absolute dominance in the piston twin category - a 300+lb advantage from mile 1:

Best value in a battery powered electric tug is the SideWinder from Redline Aviation:

I think I already gave you a contact for reasonably priced deice fluid, but here it is again with links to a cart to haul and dispense it. Get the 55 gallon drum:

Flying high means not only crazy efficiency, but far less wear and tear on your engines and gearboxes. Oxygen is the key, and it is quite inexpensive to fabricate your own cascade fill system if you are willing to put in an afternoon or two of work:

Just a convenience thing, but I find that inflating the tires with nitrogen instead of air means that I generally fill the tires every three months instead of every month:
