... just make sure you specifically ask for the last revision in your letter to Santa.
I think it is called DA42-VI.03. It has a very nice bump in useful load and a fix to the CG.
It is easy to tell if you see one of these: If the pilot/owner is NOT smiling, then it is NOT a VI.03.
and if Santa does bring you a .01 or .02, don't be sad Colin : think of all the poor boys in the world who only have the old TDI.02 (you know the one with the chinese engines and the chopstick prop blades) or even the TDI.01! I heard they spend all of their pocket money on fixing their toys.
So, just write this letter Colin and keep a copy safely locked-up in the "attorney" drawer. It won't be of any use, but you will feel good in case Santa Dri. errr... KLAUS brings you a VI.01 plane that is "unfortunately not field-upgradeable".

Here my theory about DAI gone silent for so long:
They are working on the DA62. It is like a DA42-VI, but with more everything.
The minute they announce it, guess what happens to sales of DA42-VI to private owners?
They want to sell 42's until they are ready to ship 62s.

Well, it looks like it has been a busy year for them, but much like Kai suspects I don't think we'll see much in the GA realm for a while.
