Repositioned the mount, off the vent window. The mount I have now had for about a year is "mygoflight" brand. I have never had the suction cup come off - it has been extremely reliable. Also, once the screws are tensioned, the thing is rock solid. The system comes with a slim plastic case for the ipad, which has a mounting point that snaps into the mount. This means it is easy to leave the ipad off then taxiing to let air in, then just before take-off just clip the ipad into the mount. Then once landed, just clip it off and open the vent window.

This system is certainly not cheap, about $300. However money well spent from my experience. I also think you can get the ipad case and mount in a bundle from SPORTY'S. https://mygoflight.com/collections/moun ... uction-pro
