Nice, Wayne! Do the hounds not have have any problem with the noise?

Tom, your question is a good one... for which I don't have an objective answer. They have never seemed bothered by the noise. We did years back try a set of ear-muffs on Sam (the eldest), but their heads are so narrow that the muffs slid off even without him really trying. Clearly the sloppy ear-muffs were much more bothersome to him than the noise level. Of course, there's no reasonable way to tell if the noise significantly affects their hearing or not. Being sight hounds, I'm admittedly rationalizing to believe that hearing is a tertiary priority for greyhounds... i.e. sight is their primary sense for detecting a threat, and then speed of course to overcome that threat.
Thanks for checking in,
Wayne
