Alton Bay, NH

Post by AndrewM »

Anyone done Alton Bay (B18) in a DA40?

I am hoping to do it first time this winter season with an instructor in a C172/182 if the ice gets thick enough, and then if no high snow banks take the DA40 up from Boston.

Any advice appreciated!

I didn't know what this airport was. Looks like it's name is "Alton Bay Seaplane Base" and it has an ice runway in the winter

I'm anxious just watching a video of landings here.

One of my Facebook friends has landed there a few times in his Piper. I would be SO nervous.
