KPNS Pensacola Enterprise overcharge

Post by gtmize »

Flew into PNS on 9/7 @ Signature FBO
rented Enterprise ( located at airport) returned 9/9
Charged thru 9/24 an extra 15 days
$1,043 should have been couple hundred
Hit my CC had no idea which airport as we'd been doing a cross country with many rentals.

I usually leave as soon as a FBO opens for smooth flying
leaving the car of course trusting the FBO gets it back
quit often there's only a line guy front desk not open
without receiving the ticket

I've learned now to keep the contract & Rental Agreement #
to followup the next day to avoid these situations

This.

Enterprise called me once two weeks after a one day rental to ask if I still wanted to keep renting the car. Two or three times they have added an extra day. It has always been the FBO not bothering to let Enterprise know the car was back.

Trust, but verify.

Hey, consider yourself lucky that a tree didn't fall on the car during Hurricane Sally (9/16). Then they would be charging your insurance for the value of the car! I've never had this exact thing happen, but at some airports in the Southwest (Carlsbad, NM comes to mind), Enterprise leaves the keys and paperwork in an envelope behind the counter for you (no personnel are there) and you return them to the same place when you are done with the rental. I have always sent an email letting them know I returned them...
