Glacial striations from the air

One of the things I like most about our pastime is the view of the world from above - you see things in a scale you would never see from the ground. Here is a photo of really prominent glacial striations in Northern Alberta between the Athabasca river and Calling Lake.The geology of this area is a constant reminder of the last ice age.

Luckily, some glaciers are still there, however shrinking fast ("Aletsch" glacier and Mt. Jungfrau/Switzerland, during an exceptionally warm summer 2020)
