Caribbean Revisited - Part 1 - RNAV into Turks & Caicos

Post by waynemcc999 »

In January 2020 two best buds and I experienced -- in real life (imagine that!) -- a glorious flying adventure to the Caribbean. Now in the age of COVID I feel a yearning to revisit that adventure. In Part 1 of this series we’ll compare shooting the RNAV approach into the Turks & Caicos -- as it actually occurred IRL, and recreated on a home simulator. This video captures every button push and knob twist for flying the RNAV 10 at MBPV on a G1000/Perspective.

Great video, as always Wayne!

Too bad your Diamond wasn't in the video rather than that (ewww... Cirrus!)

Arthur, thanks for the kind words. I'd certainly prefer to be flying IRL in my DA40, but while I'm waiting for my new prop (backordered 2 months) I'll be content flying with friends (including in a Cirrus :) ) and also flying the sim (I find the TorqueSim SR22TN one of the best aircraft on X-Plane).
All the best,
Wayne
