Re: Angel City Flyers

Bill,

Savvy has been great with ACF. They seem to get along well.

Re: Angel City Flyers

They have been fantastic. I think they've done three annuals for me so far and a bunch of oil changes. They installed my EletroAir and my updated ELT. I use Savvy to manage the work, but Dave (and the people at the front desk), have been great. They ALWAYS deliver the plane on time. They do a test f...

If you want to pay $75k I am sure you could find a place to do it.

The servos are different, so it is replacing everything.

Re: Seattle to east coast - IFR below 12.5K feet?

+1 for the O2D2 as well. When I first bought the plane I bought a system from Mountain High. Then I did a year of flying back and forth to Las Vegas at 8,500 and used it *once* during a trip with my brother when we flew to 16,500 to see how the plane performed (still climbing 200fpm). After a year o...

Re: My In-Flight Mag Failure

Pretty sure that is when I had my mag failure, at about the same altitude, too, on the descent into Albuquerque. I'm not watching EGTs on the way down, but I kept thinking something sounded strange about the engine.

Re: Seattle to east coast - IFR below 12.5K feet?

+1 on the O2. If it is a long trip and I am above 5,000 feet I am on oxygen. I used to ignore it and be wiped out at the end of the day. Now if I take the trouble to hook it up I can fly a 9hr day and still be upright for a nice dinner where ever we have landed.

Re: Turning on the ground

Oh, and I also have moved it quite a bit with a person on each wingtip. Walked it over to the fuel pump, moved it around other planes on the ramps, gotten it out to a spot to start the engine... it's a really easy method.

Re: Turning on the ground

I have the Bogi bar. It is much better than the factory version I got (although I think now it IS the factory version). I push down on the tail, facing forward, and duck walk backwards like Chuck Berry changing his mind. If my teenagers are around I have them push on the wing root. I think touching ...

Re: Grass Field Operations

Oh, I see, you stuck them with the driving and got to keep your plane closer to where you were sleeping so you'd sleep easier. I would have done that, too.

Re: DIY - Repair broken window latches

I love my pair of permanent latches. There was no information about where to send a check, so I am making another donation to DAN.
