Re: Any DA-42 misfuelings?
A guy over on Pilots of America did a test of a 50/50 mix of Avgas and Jet-A. While the test suggests it will be difficult to tell if you have Jet-A in your Avgas, perhaps the opposite may be true for Avgas in your Jet-A. Re: SureFly Electronic Ignition
I decided against it for now. Thanks, however, Rich for taking the lead on working out the bugs!

Re: FS 210 follies
Rich- Thanks, I'll try those tests. Re still using the Stratus, I have a Garmin GDL-88 that will be providing input. Unfortunately, the FF Q&A section says "Pilots with a Flight Stream 210 and a Garmin ADS-B In source, or a Garmin GTX345 ADS-B In transponder, should not simultaneously conne...

Re: FS 210 follies
Rich- Any tips on what to test once it's installed? Mine was finished today, but I'm waiting on a mag change from my annual so it will probably be next week before I get the plane back.

Re: arizona baffle
My DA40 has had a hotter #1 cylinder (anywhere from 10-30 degrees from the next hottest) for years. I recently put on a new #1 cylinder and the problem, if anything, gotten worse. (The new cylinder has 45 hours on it and the temp is 20-30 degrees hotter than the next hottest cylinder across a range ...

Re: SureFly Electronic Ignition
Rich, thanks. One thought on the CHTs is to install it without the advance timing, which I believe is the source of the moderately (10 degree) CHT rise reported by some. Bernie

Re: SureFly Electronic Ignition
Rich, Brian, Steven - Are you still happy with your Surefly ignitions? My right mag has gone bad (after less than 200 hours) so I'm considering adding a Surefly. Like Rich I have the VM1000 so as I understand it I have to switch the RPM sensor from the right to the left mag. Rich, I know you ended u...

Neema- Thanks for the heads up on the vertical cross section chart in FF. I didn't realize that you can access that if you change your briefing format to graphical (PDF) (vice graphical (HTML).

Re: Kick the Kneeboard - Something Missing?
Wayne- Nice video and interesting ideas. In my steam-gauge DA40 I have my Ipad Air 3rd gen on my right leg with clips. Tried Mini, just too small, especially for looking at Nexrad Radar, plus anywhere I put it with suction cups it seemed either in the way and/or vibrated too much. When I put it wher...
