Re: Would you ?

Hi Antoine I must have missed this thread...too busy doing trip reports and editing videos. The lack of FIKI is an issue for me. 12 nam north of my home airport is Melbourne International airport, and they have a requirement for all aircraft to be a minimum of 6000' above to fly over their CTA. In o...

Re: View from the Rear Passenger Seat

Hi Dave

If I ever get to fly with you, and that Axe; I will make sure I am in the RHS seat and not be in the rear seat!

I have a 2010 XLS and I do not have the axe, but have the seatbelt cutter and Perspex hammer.

Re: View from the Rear Passenger Seat

Oops

Interesting I could not find anything about that emergency exit in the AFM when I had a quick look in the rear seats.

That's it, never flying as a pax again.

THANKS

Robin

PS I am never too old or experienced to learn something!!

View from the Rear Passenger Seat

Hello As some of you may have seen from my posts in the Trips section, I was delegated to the rear passenger seat as my step son flew the DA 40 and his mum was in the RHS seat. The view was very good from these seats, but.... What is this?? Is it the loop for the head set cords, I did notice quite a...

Some more photos from our recent trip.

If you get to Australia, and for those of you based down under I highly recommend Lake Eyre as a destination!

Re: Weak radio signal

Hi Paul Very pleased that your new plane is performing well, and that you are flying every day! At my home base, I often have trouble contacting the Area Control on the ground. This means that I would have to contact ATC after takeoff, get my transponder code, wait to get identified, wait for ATC to...

Outback South Australia

Have had time to do the next video... Takeoff from Coober Pedy YCBP heading back to William Creek. Its the first time that I have used our Diamond DA 40 to pick up fast food! As you can see the country side is flat and almost treeless. Having said that it is easy to navigate using the roads and the ...

Outback South Australia

Note the photos that I took were from the back seat. My stepson was PIC, his mum was co pilot, and I was delegated to back seat photographer!

I have not previously been in the backseat, the view was pretty good.

Cheers
