Re: Path to ADS-B & WAAS for older DA40s
Okay, Scott - today I carried out the tests you suggested. > 1) are you currently able to receive any AHRS data on your iPad? > 2) or has your FS110 wiring (capped off) knocked the 345R AHRS data offline? Yes, able to receive, so apparently the wiring itself has not disabled the GTX345R data > If yo...

Re: Path to ADS-B & WAAS for older DA40s
I did my GTX345 upgrade last week (this post: https://www.diamondaviators.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6746&start=42) ). My installation also included wiring for a Flightstream 110 under the passenger seat - the avionics shop didn't receive my FS110 in time so they tested the installation w...

Reading this thread was useful and timely, and I'm doing the following with respect to Flightstream:...

Re: Cost of replacement wingtip
OK - an update: I have N787DM back, wingtip repaired and with a bright new pair of Whelen OR600 nav/strobe lights. My thanks to you, Dave - for suggesting I send the wingtip for repair to Glenn at Southtec, and to Rich , Rick and Tim for the helpful documentation. Glenn deemed the wingtip an “easy” ...

Re: Cost of replacement wingtip
The following is from Sean at ACE Aviation regarding the LED position lights that have to be replaced because one of them is cracked. My question to this board is: have any of you done a straightforward LED position light retrofit that I can leverage the knowledge from, as Sean is enquiring? Note th...
