Re: Weather radar upgrade on a DA42

Not sure how this could possibly be more expensive in hardware either though, we're talking about one antenna versus two GIAs, an MFD, and four servos. My understanding is that you don’t need to change the GIAs. I have never seen different GIA reference with or without GFC 700, so I assume they are...

Those seem like large numbers. Perhaps because of the hull value. I don't want to break any rules, or over share, but ... We have a 2009 DA40-XLS, Hull value $262k, 2 IFR rated pilots both at about 550 total hours. Our 2019 insurance was $1516 with Assured Partners through AOPA. We can only dream i...

Is it certified in DA42-VI NXi?

Re: What comes after a DA40?

That’s Autorouter but as you noticed doesn’t work in US. Ogimet uses same GFS data but graphical interpretation sometimes differs.

Re: TAS610 not working properly - Replacement?

ADS-B won’t be very useful in Europe since the majority of traffic you’re interested in (small GA I presume) won’t radiate.

I think so. I think that oxygen bottle have to be moved somewhere in the rear baggage compartment.
