Then Garmin will tell you to contact Diamond because they have the copyright and only they can order software changes

Re: Bugs of G1000 software rev. 0370-23 for DA42 TDI
The problem is that this is the last version for DA42 TDI with KAP140 and no fixes will be released. It's not about Garmin it's about Diamond. Diamond owns the code and Garmin can act only by DAI's request. And DAI won't make any move in that direction. The only way to get newer version is to replac...

Re: Bugs of G1000 software rev. 0370-23 for DA42 TDI
1. That’s how it is - unfortunately no help here. 2. Same - it can’t be changed - it’s a bug and nobody will fix it. 3. I didn’t try this, so I can’t say anything. 4. Again, that’s how it is - unfortunately no help here. 5. I’m afraid this is the same as previous points. I planned to investigate thi...

Re: DA42 vs BeechA36 or Cirrus for long distance
We have both a 2023 DA42 and just sold our 2018 Sr22T. Sorely miss everything about the Cirrus (it was out of warranty so sold it) The Diamond is a good twin but prefer The Cirrus for comfort, hauling passengers, speed and so much more. Can anyone really take 4 people in the Diamond? Doesn’t pencil...

Re: Austro E4-C Performance at Altitude
Emir, what RPM are you typically flying in the CD-155? I climb at max power until reaching cruise level which means 2300 RPM. That means 100% until 9000 ft (a bit better than expected) which then starts to slowly decrease slowly (all data for WOT and 2300 RPM): - 100% at 9000 ft (FF 8.7 GPH per eng...

Re: Austro E4-C Performance at Altitude
Using this chart from the Austro Operations Manual, with climb power set to 92%, we should see 92% up to 10,000ft. Then 87% at 12,000, 80% at 14,500 and 75% at 16,000. I am seeing better than that ... eg 88% in climb at 14,000 on my last cross country flight. So it appears the engines are performin...

Re: Tanis engine heater for Lycoming: Love it or not?
I was thinking about Tanis for CD-155 engines on my DA42 but for some reason this product is marked “under revision” at their website. I sent email to check but got no response. Anyone has any info?
