Re: Problem sending PM
Same here. Sent DM but see the message I sent still stuck in outbox. Makes me seem rude as the responder to a direct personal inquiry to me which I assume the recipient has not seen.

Re: DA40NG Lost Engine in IMC
It's curious that this remains in an unknown, or at least un-communicated, resolution state.
Wondering whether any DAN members have additional knowledge.
Thanks

Re: Thinking of DA40 after SR22
Good luck with your decision. I've never flown a Cirrus but have 500+ hours all in DA 40 variants. I bought a 40 NG in 2019 and love it. I find it to be a very capable IFR machine so don't really understand soem of the comments on its IFR limitiations, apart from FIKI absence of course.

Austro Cylinder Heads
I found this interesting and had not seen before, though others on DAN may have. The incident itself is informative but I was much more interested in some of the concerning engine stats cited by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. Wondering if others on DAN have any insights or additional ...

Re: Chapter 42 begins
Excellent news and Congratulations. I'm a few months behind you with a 42 NG on order from Austria and due to arrive mid-year. My goal is also to take flight and see a much a larger part of the country and also fly to Ireland where my family has a home. Looking forward to hearing of more adventures ...

Re: DA40NG Lost Engine in IMC
Has anyone heard update on this? Seems like something would be known re proximate cause 10+ days after. My LifeStyle source claims this was definitely not related to the issues on the turbo which arose on other NG's post inspection.

Re: Diamond Share Experience
I do not have direct experience with Diamond Share as I declined to enter into their agreement. While the concept is sound, I reviewed the Diamond Share agreement after purchasing my plane from Lifestyle Aviation and concluded it was not good value. I have extensive experience negotiating ...

Re: DA40NG loss of turbo charger boost
This only applies to the DA40NG and not the DA42 or DA62 Austro powered Diamonds as their engines have different turbocharger plumbing. The NTSB released their report (attached) on the partial loss of power that led to an off field landing last summer. Nothing in my comments, and hopefully nothing ...

Re: Embarrassed but Alive
This is exactly what happened. Power to 0%, whiny front end which abated and sounded much better once i added 10% power back."If you hear a whirring sound give it some throttle until the sound goes away."
