I’m in the market for a DA42 and came across a 2015 DA42 with Austro engine, legacy G1000, FIKI and GFC700 with ~1700 hours with no previous accident. What’s would be the fair market price for a unit like this [emoji3166]

Re: Fuel Quantity Gauge failed
Thank you so much for the post. Love the video you posted!!! It's like a ghost plane, LoL :D :D I remembered there was some difficulty accessing the sump during the pre-flight check, might have had a forced entry :( Anyways, I will check and see if those wires got messed up. I have been fighting the...

Re: Fuel Quantity Gauge failed
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll wait for some warm weather in order to rule out the factor caused by coldness or freezing condition. I did put covers over the wings for outside storage purpose. Could be moisture in a sensor. If you have the 50-gallon version there are two sensors per side and addition...

Fuel Quantity Gauge failed
After a few weeks of leaving the airplane in the open with canopy cover, I attempted to do some afternoon refreshment of the pilot skill yesterday afternoon and came across this problem which eventually lead to my abort the plan. The right side fuel quantity gauge has failed and got x'd out ( see pi...

Re: Current IFR rating?
VFR into IMC is def a concern of mine since I'm still VFR and studying for IFR, although slowly progressing. I've noticed that the DA40 is quite a capable aircraft with the G1000 and pre programmed approach guidance. spacial disorientation is def a thing and could be very dangerous when the pilot is...

DA 40 owner killed in Cessna 172 accident
It was a diamond DA20 that was mentioned in one of the articles. I think you do have the solid evidence to prove it is a Diamond DA40.

Re: iPad Mini G6 - PIREP
I got a 6 in the first week it was out. I just now received a notification from RAM of imminent release of a compatible cradle, similar to the ones provides for a large array of iPads. These cradles work the best for me. I will still use my pro 11 as primary, as it provides bigger target areas for ...
