MichaelM wrote: Sat Sep 25, 2021 2:03 pm Thanks to everyone. I actually still have not flown in the DA62. I flew the DA42 and really liked it. I am heading to the east coast to demo a DA62, hopefully in November. Just passed my Multi-Engine Check ride this week!
Double congratulations on the plane and on your checkride. :)

Re: Cost of unscheduled repairs

I've looked at the part's catalogue for the 62 and it says the appropriate part is LC-R127R2P* where the asterisk represents the country code possibilities P, J or G. Screen Shot 2021-09-22 at 09.19.06.png I've also heard that diamond now uses the NP7-12 now that the LC-R127R2P is discontinued, but ...

Re: Cost of unscheduled repairs

The cost of spare parts is extremely high. You can see it with backup batteries. Once they have a EASA form 1 the price is ten times higher than without. For exactly the same battery from Panasonic. Re: G1000 Legacy & NXi upgrade program

Joel, the latest information I have is the "Phase III" development and certification efforts are well underway. As previously noted in prior posts, Diamond's original intent was to complete these first for the DA62 and then the other models, with the goal of completing the first release l...

Re: G1000 flight log analysis

Patrick this is really cool. I appreciate how the cockpit view interpolates between the snapshots. Perhaps changing the interpolation algorithm to have smooth derivatives will make this interpolation less jerky.

Again, how can i give you money for this!!! its great!

michael.g.miller wrote: Wed Aug 18, 2021 6:17 pm My advice would be to get your hand on an engine dongle so you can read failure codes. That will make your life a lot easier if you get an ECU failure on the road
How does one get their hands on such a dongle?

Re: ForeFlight & Garmin Pilot: Side-by-Side - Part 3: VFR to Big Bear

I agree. I also tend to use Trip Assistant to help me manage fuel stop planning. I wish it was available on an iPad too and not just on the web. Additionally, while I'm complaining about FF features, I wish I could see Jepp charts on the FF website too.
