Urbe Aero is probably the last place in the world where you want to try to get something cheap

Re: DA62 coolant leaks
I know its been a while since this thread was active but I recently got a contract flying a DA62 and also have noticed the persistent low coolant caution light when the engines are cold and then goes away after things start to warm up. Nothing seems to be leaking. Could this just be a common sensor...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features
If you follow DAI press releases, you can notice that majority is related to sales, mainly to sales of new aircrafts, and specifically to flight academies. From that you can easily read where the focus is: make & sell. And that’s fully legitimate and it can work if it’s followed by post-sales pr...

Re: Autopilots are the answer, not the problem...
Scott, thanks for starting this new thread. I don’t think that anyone, who does serious cross country flying, questions usability and necessity of autopilot. I often hand-fly IFR departures, arrivals and approaches to stay current and I evaluate my performance comparing to how I’ve done on sone prev...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features
If it costs Diamond as much to certify a software update as it does to certify a new avionics system or new airframe, no wonder we are not seeing any updates - at any (reasonable) price. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t but I don’t know if we’ll ever get transparent info having in mind DAI’s willing (or ...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features
I don't think the situation is that complicated. I believe the answer is much simpler: new owners cashed out pile of money and they want ROI. That's why all efforts are focused to new sales (I can't remember DAI people travelling around the world so intensively in the past) and thus customer support...

Re: Garmin GTX345R needs sw upgrade?
A bit OT but JetProp can be bought practically new for that money, burning some 30 gallons for 260 KTAS at FL260 with 3600 hours TBO. I just bought a DA62 with two co-owners. And despite all the software chaos I believe it was the right choice. However I am concerned because I want Diamond to be la...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features
Looking on the COPA forum, I do not see any degree of these issues being mentioned. I guess the ultimate acid test will be when the DA50 is launched. How many Cirrus owners looking to upgrade or go to something newer will convert to Diamond? Andrew I did. I came to Diamond 42-VI via a 22T. I do con...
