Bruce, You are right. I did the installation 11 years ago, as I remember, then was no note about the direct battery connection. The temp sensor was also included for positioning next to the battery, this was discontinued later in the kit. I am an (EASA B1) A&P, don’t see the difference on the Ba...

Yes the invisible part is wired to the battery with a fuse, the 2nd wire is the temp sensor.

Thats the one I am using - had never a complain (EASA aircraft). If you go the BatteryMinder way keep caution you order a 230V model.

for the last 12 years I use the charger from BatteryMinder. I am on my 2nd battery. Its always on when the plane sits in the Hangar.
