Re: DA 20 owner/fan love flying it.. stories

My very limited experience with GA aircraft is mostly with a DA20. I've got about 35 hours in one and have flown an 152 and 172 which were nowhere nearly as fun. I'm in the process of trying to buy the DA20 that I've flown and have considered a DA40(though I have zero time in one). Just a great airp...

Re: DA42 st KRVS this morning!

Alex, I'm in Tulsa. My wife would kill me if I went to Denver to fly!
Thanks though.

Re: DA42 st KRVS this morning!

Thanks Kai, I learn something every day. Flight Aware is a very powerful tool!
I keep hoping I'll find someone here that has a DA40 or 42 that needs a partner :-)

Re: How to value a DA20

I agree. The wife and I have a very good professional working relationship and I see her almost weekly. If the financials work out I just don't see a downside to getting the plane airworthy again, if nothing else but to have a good Diamond trainer in the area. She's always been very reasonable but I...

Re: How to value a DA20

It's definitely not a money issue which I think compounds their apathy toward the aircraft. If it was hurting their wallet then they would make a move but it's just not. I wouldn't mind a shared ownership but I know they are just not interested in flying anymore. I'd consider a DA40 in the area to g...

Re: How to value a DA20

The plane is in my town, KRVS, I'm about 10 minutes from the FBO. The owners, husband and wife, bought the plane to get their PPL. I know the wife through common patients and just stumbled on to the fact that they had the plane and were training in it. She explained the safety and fun of the plane a...

Re: How to value a DA20

Thanks for the info Mark. I'm still waiting to hear back on the DA20. It's a very real possibility that they just won't sell it and continue to let it gather dust. Crazy. I'll see if I hear back this month and if not then I'll give them a ring first of August. Trying not to appear too eager ;-) In t...

Re: How to value a DA20

Thanks for the information! I really did enjoy flying the plane and with the option to update the panel with G5's is something I just didn't know about. If I can get it in the price you discussed I'll definitely buy the plane. Once I get some time in the aircraft I may look at getting a DA40 in the ...
