Re: KAP140 Autopilot Pitch Fault

I think I am seeing something similar to that with mine KAP. Last few months it was becoming less and less reliable. First Heading Bug mode was out, latter NAV, eventually even ROL is dead most of the time (some six horizontal bars displayed on AP). Had it checked a week ago and neither KAP or HSI w...

Re: Help me plan my mediterranean trip please

Hi Antoine, not necessary thinking about taking someone with me. Was just wondering about the story I will need to have. How to extend something like Saturday beer with friends into a week of flying Lebanon journey? I am afraid getting “home clearance” for such trip will be far more difficult than a...

The main problem however, except some small issues :) like lack of IR etc is going to be what to tell...

Re: Nice to join, from remote Poland

Welcome Jeff, good job deserves appreciation. And I owe some claryfication to Robin - fortunatelly (for people here in Poland) with 20 degs C I meant water temperature of Baltic Sea. And I agree - it is hard to call it warm. Particularly that with the air it is much better - some 25 - 35 degs sommer...

Re: Nice to join, from remote Poland

Hi Ribin, Nice to meet you. Looks that you are a real remote "location" on this forum :) Although in fact everything depends on starting point :) If you get here from Australia I will get you to Kolobrzeg in my DA40, with pleasure. And in fact this is a nice seaside resort, look at the pic...

Re: Nice to join, from remote Poland

Hi Jean, Nice to see you, Belgium is indeed quite close, just for a trip. If you wish we can plan some summer weekend, starting EPOM, than flying Bagicz for Baltic Sea swimming. Bagicz is former military airstrip, 3 km from sandy beaches of Kolobrzeg resort, my favourite place for weekend flying. Yo...

Re: Nice to join, from remote Poland

Hello, As Kai already pointed, EPOM is in some center of Poland. Grass field, 900m long, with nice refreshment facilities (playground for kids, restaurants etc.). In two years we will host FAI European gliding championships here. If not for the problem with open access to fuel I would recommend the ...

Nice to join, from remote Poland

Hi Folks,
Happy to join the Diamond flying forum.
I am flying my Diamond for a mere year, so more reading the forum than being able to share in fact.
But well, I am here. At least you may count on support - beer etc. :) once travelling accross Poland...
