Re: Tug for 42-VI
I agree with all said about Redline Sidewinder - great tow for hard surfaces, but some worse for grass. And as I changed hangar recently for a one without hard apron in front -mine is for sale, if anyone interested (Poland, Europe, simply PM me). In terms of taking it in plane with you - nose luggag...

Re: Weather radar GWX68 and its integration with the G1000 on a DA42 TDI with autopilot KAP140
Hello Vasco and Dave,
Thank you for the info provided.
In parallel I inquired with Diamond WieNeu, the response is that GWX70 can only be installed in NG and VI. Pity, but fortunatelly from your comments I see not much difference between them so fortunatelly not a serious pain...

Re: Weather radar GWX68 and its integration with the G1000 on a DA42 TDI with autopilot KAP140
An interesting topic here, I was not aware that with KAP140/CD135 combination the radar overlay will be that "nicely" integrated onto G1000... But well, this is still a fully functional radar avaiable, a very nice feature I am missing in plane... I am thinking about upgrading for GWX, but ...

Re: DA42 as a true four (and a half) seater?
After some 200h in DA40 I moved into DA42. In my opinion both are great planes for some beginning and low time pilots. DA42 is more capable (TKS, really makes sense in Europe) and requires some more discipline (retractable gear, twin operations). But I can easily imagine some fresh pilot transiting ...

Re: Left Engine Running 10 degrees warmer
From my 2.0 engines same observation as of Steve's. Never such a difference, your right little cool for that power setting. What about this gap you found swapping the sensors? Maybe sealing it somehow?

Re: DA40 Adding the extended luggage compartment
Hello Matt,
I have one in the garage, so if you are interested I can sell it to you. But I am based in Europe, so not sure if all the process is of a much sense... PM me.

Re: 2.0s in da42 TDi
Interesting summaries Antoine. Some general observation of mine - Conti so far did not add much dynamics to it's purchased Thielert's product line. Neither extension in TBO, or any form of more aggressive market entrance with the product... Let's see how it develops, but after they got to this matur...

Re: DA42 vortex generators
I haven't documented TO profiles but once again the lower stall speed and enhanced Vmc should help. Next time I playing around I'll try a soft and short TO. Hi Doug, Waiting for your findings regarding TO performance, it will be great to read something out of real experience. The 3 kt speed loss th...

Re: DA42 vortex generators
That's an interesting finding, I was not aware of this stuff for da42.
How does your take-off looks like Doug with these vortexes? What a the changes comparing to non vortex da42?
