Re: Diamond: Gust lock fabric torn
Has anyone replaced one of the clips on the gust lock? Trying to find a replacement for just one of those clips. Thanks. Any help appreciated....

Re: False Low Oil Pressure Warnings
Hitting the alerts soft key shuts off the alarm in the da40, but many times it just retriggers a few seconds later.

Re: False Low Oil Pressure Warnings
We have these kinds of transient problems from time to time, and they are almost always loose wires. After a 100 hr or annual they tend to go away. Have had them for CHT temp, oil temp, oil pressure, and fuel pressure.
Of those only the CHT probe had to be replaced.

Re: Mechanical Fuel Gauge replacement
Well, that's a surprise. That it's in the required list, that is. Unless you're amazingly foolhardy (not to mention extremely agile), there's no way to use it in flight. But it looks like there's a different part number that replaces the original. See the attached temporary revision page, issued la...

Re: If you lease to a flight school, how do you insure?
You are covered by the flight school policy.. THey HAVE to add the plane on their policy in most cases I believe. But you are still liable for anything above their policy limits (and they may have overall limits as well, not just on the individual plane I think). You can always get a policy on top t...

Mechanical Fuel Gauge replacement
Hi. Our Diamond's mechanical fuel gauge got broken (the glass broke in half) and we tried to order a new one from Diamond (Part no:D4128179000) but we were told that Diamond is no longer making this part. We were given a number to call of a place that might be able to fix it, but we were told it cou...

Re: Stall Horn extremely sensitive
We contacted Diamond when we had this problem and they said the horn had to be replaced. After replacement it worked perfectly normally. Had the same issues as you did... constantly going off (especially on takeoff) even though nowhere near stall speed.

Re: My experience with the ElectroAir ignition upgrade
The MAP sensor for the G1000 is separate from the Electroair sensor. You use a "T" fitting to split the manifold pressure to the new Electroair sensor. I don't understand the conflict? Can you offer more details? Apparently they found a way around it, but there were 3 sensors going into t...

Re: Boost Pump
Any specific reason you didn't just buy the Weldon pump from Aircraft Spruce or another supplier? I always try to source non-Diamond only parts elsewhere - too much markup simply for a Diamond sticker on the part. Krea Ellis No one we checked with had a version for the -19, and Diamond had a kit fo...

Re: My experience with the ElectroAir ignition upgrade
I am not sure, I will check, but I think the MAP sensor has to go to the G1000 and it has its own sensor that doesn't fit.
