So you uninstalled the previous SureFly with the band-aid kits and installed the updated version? Did SureFly provide the new version free of charge?

Re: GTX345 and missing traffic targets

I received a clarification from Garmin today that the v3.13 firmware for the GTX345R will drop the target "furthest" away when it is necessary to make room in a full database for a new target. But to be clear, until an update is issued by Diamond, once our GTX345R has 200 targets within 1...

Thumbs-up (Thanks) button

Hi just a gentle reminder that this board has a wonderful thumbs-up "Thanks" button for posted comments. Using the button helps keep the threads uncluttered and it's gratifying watching your "Been thanked" count ratchet up. Please feel free to thank me for this post if you agree!...

Re: DA40 GI-275 install FAIL!

1. I was planning to configure them as mini PFD and MFD, mirroring the G1000. Where does the data come from (outside of the pitot tube)? If from a LRU, this may not be available in case of a G1000 failure, correct? Does it require additional modules, magnetometer, GPS, etc. or a another data subscr...

Re: Finally the Launch??

The Panthera (also retract) comes standard with a chute. Now if that plane also could have FIKI and decent load carrying capability... that would be interesting... I asked RR aviation about FIKI and got this response: "yes, FIKI is standard equipment on the certified version, coming in 2023!&q...

Re: Low fuel pressure... again

So we pulled the fuel pressure transducer and flushed out the line with fuel and blew out the fuel captured behind the orifice of the transducer and buttoned it back up. About 7-8 flights now with no fuel pressure faults. Looking at the data, there is a clear before/after with pressure formerly very...

Re: Low fuel pressure... again

Having intermittent fuel pressure alarms on a 2004 DA40 with G1000. I don't have the gauge enabled, but looking at the data it occasionally goes low and sometimes goes to zero for a short period with no relation to fuel flow. My mechanic doesn't believe it is the connection. From a reputable Diamond...

Re: Heater lever changes the altitude

There is a good article in the March, 2021 issue of EAA Sport Aviation on pitot/static issues, which gives an example which duplicated your symptoms exactly. Static line leak within the cabin was the cause. I found the article - interesting - may also be the cause of my low IAS after installing the...

Re: Heater lever changes the altitude

Hi Rich - That is interesting information - you are quite the encyclopedia. While tracing the static lines around the back of the panel, I'm pretty sure the KAP-140 was tied into the common static for the other instruments, but I will keep that in mind digging further. For now I think I need to dedi...
