If you don't find anything on the east coast you can try Plus One Flyers in San Diego, California . They have a steam gage DA40. Also interesting is that they have a Cirrus and a Piper Malibu.

With the Avidyne TAS 600 you can have a button installed to mute/recall the alerts. Talk to your avionics installer.

The Aspen is good now. I think the problems that they were having were due to several factors that seem to be ok now. Take a good look at cost. The Aspen will take about 40 hours labor to install. I suspect the G-500 is more. Overall I think that I would rather have the Garmin but the Aspen is good ...

I personally like that my Aspen panel setup is similar to my panel at work.
