Re: new XLT

Also in the NG's favor are longer maintenance intervals and the fact that jet A is widely available, costs less and has a very certain future.

Just my opinion but I think for brand new pilots, the IO-360 version may be just a touch more forgiving as well.

Re: new XLT

Last time I asked which was about two months ago, the answer was about a year and about $30k less than the diesel.

DA40 owner flown WAAS plane wanted

I'm looking for an owner flown, WAAS capable, avgas DA40. I know, so is everyone else. However if you are thinking of selling, please let me know. Thanks. I'll add if you have one and are looking for a partner in the Salt Lake area, I'd be interested in that. as well. I have hangar space.

Re: Moving from DA40-XLS to DA40-NG Questions

Gerry, if you would like a relatively risk free way to try this out, I'd be happy to buy your XLS and give you an option to buy it back less some depreciation for hours flown if you don't like the NG. You'd still have to sell the NG. You can PM me if you are interested. I'll admit I'm thinking about...

Re: Crazy Pricing?

https://www.controller.com/listing/for- ... e-aircraft Well this one apparently sold for asking price. No WAAS. No VNAV. I have pretty good insight into consumer spending on luxury goods and there has definitely been a slow down in January. Hard to say whether this is just temporary Omicron or somet...

Re: Cost of WAAS

And even when flying VFR, I routinely use the G1000's Along Track Offset function with VNAV to have the plane automatically descend to pattern altitude 2 miles before reaching my destination airport. Without this feature, I would never know when to start a descent. In all seriousness though,...

Cost of WAAS

Does anyone have an estimate for the cost of converting a G1000 XL without WAAS to a WAAS capable plane? I understand you need to replace the GIAs plus also the MFD. Anything else I’m missing? thanks.

Re: Crazy Pricing?

I might make an offer on that second one. I sold my 2007 XLS with less hours in 2012 for more than $100k less than what they are asking for this one. I went to a Cirrus, a Meridian and now an M600 but my kids want to learn to fly now and while the M600 is magnificent transportation, I miss the fun o...

UVU at Provo flies 42s. I don't know what kind but they might have an experienced A&P.
