During the annual last week I just replaced the emergency batt pack (28 AA Batteries). A check before the replacement showed a dead pack as well. After replacement all OK – Power Horizon flag off and flood light under the clareshield on. A check of the old batteries revealed all like new. So in futu...

fuel price 7 $ gal ... just came back from Venice Italy(LIPV), 3 EUR litre for 100LL equals 12.3 $ gal
thats flying here in Europe.
But venice is a nice destination. (landing and parking fee 56$ for 2 days). Its unique, its Venice.

Welcome Venk, we are a few active members from Europe in this forum, but the DA40s members were mostly Avgas burners. DA40NG`s are mainly flown by flight training centers.

Since you are coming from gliders ... you will love the Diamond. The way she flies, the view itself, the panoramic view from the cockpit, and glider pilots know that airplanes must not be exclusively from metal.

Welcome Rob,

yes ferry is possible, but there are of course some risks. Also finding a good plane in the US, you nedd somebody to have a look there and checking the planes out. This is a bit difficult from Europe.

Jean, I had also replaced my Duke with a weldon Pump last Year after it broke on the flight to the anual. Fortunately I had allready a spare weldon Pump on stock after I read all the posts here in the DAN about the poor performance oft the duke pump. But to have the defective pump repaired, even it ...
