Re: Plane-less no more!

Thanks, guys. It still doesn't seem real - I kinda have that same feeling I had when I brought my first kid home from the hospital! You are going to love the GFC700 and the integration with the G1000. Change your target alt in the G1000 and you have set the GFC700 too....really nice to have it all c...

Plane-less no more!

I just have t o share this with all my DAN friends. As of today, and almost exactly a year after selling my half-a-DA40 partnership, I am now the proud owner of an entire DA40! :-D At least for a little while, until I can find a partner... It's a 2007 XL, so I'm looking forward to posting questions ...

Re: AHARS not receiving valid air speed.

Matt, can you post a data file from a flight where this happens? That should show exactly what IS and is NOT working when it fails, and might help shed some light on what's happening. My initial thought would be a loose connection between the AHRS and the GDC, but just a wild guess...

Re: Low Voltage

Thanks posting, Chris, and congratulations on your new DA40! I just pulled up a few random G1000 data logging files from flights I made in Jan/Feb 2011 to see what the initial voltage was before engine start. They are all in the mid-23 to lower-24 volt range, so I don’t think your observations are u...

Re: GDU Software

By "GDU" they mean Garmin Display Unit, which in our case (G1000) is the GDU 1040 display (or 1042 or 1044 if you are lucky enough to have the Garmin AP). They are referring to the firmware version for the GDU104x, which gets updated when you do a G1000 software update. You cannot just dow...

Re: GDU Software

Barry, I'm not really sure what you are looking at. Neither the "GDU software" or "Version 10.0" rings any bells with me, so I'm confused. Can you provide a link to the Garmin web page you were looking at - maybe that will help clear things up for me. As for updating the terrain ...

Re: Flight List on G1000

Welcome, Frank, and congrats on your new DA40! Im new to the G1000, in the 696 we have a page that shows all the flights with Tach time etc., is there a similar page in the G1000 that I have not found, I can achieve the same results by doing flight logging with the SD card , which by the way works f...
