Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

I wonder if there's a way to purchase it as experimental-amateur built. It's easy to get the plane's op limitations "authorized by the administrator" to fly around class B. I fly a plane in this category and it's just like flying any other plane. I wonder if there's a way you can overcome ...

Having a parachute will lead to sales. Hopefully they develop a good dealer network in the US.

Cirrus sold 331 SR22s (inlcuding turbos) last year for at least 600k and above. Plenty of people buying new. Pretty sure they can enjoy a piece of that pie.

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

I don't know how he can stomach that. Another instance they're at 458°. What's strange and confusing is Lycoming's manual calling out 435° as max CHT for performance cruise (differerent from 500° redline) and recommendations to run their engines at peak EGT or 50° ROP for high power cruise. In many ...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

Couple comments to your points, Rich -I think the plane is factory assist builds only. You're not getting this delivered to your garage. Rather, you probably have to visit the factory a few times to meet the 51% rule -our DA42 isn't terrible in 1200 hours of ownership being retractable. Maybe an ext...

Re: Has anyone already placed an order for a Panthera?

I still think the Panthera is one of the coolest looking small planes out there. An email exchange I had with Pipistrel in 2015 priced the factory build-assist experimental IO-540 variant at 425,000 euros. 15 gallon aux tanks were an option, too.

We were told to take our plane back to London and our plane already has the radome

Re: Weather radar upgrade on a DA42

I heard the same information. It's a shame Diamond cuts out our ability to use many competent shops to install the radar. A 15 year old radar, at that.

Re: Left Turning Tendency on the Ground

Not normal. It's a pain to taxi the first few times, that doesn't mean requiring full pedal input to stay straight
