$222 less for me from the same carrier USAIG. It's just me on the policy and no changes.

Re: G1000 wants to overwrite active database with old one
I've seen this happen as well. By any chance did you accidentally write a NavData update directly onto the PFD card at some point (like last November)? You may be able to track down which files to delete, but I ended up just reformatting the card and installing all of the databases from scratch. Th...

G1000 wants to overwrite active database with old one
IMG_7205.jpeg I can't seem to get rid of this prompt on my PFD. I have updated the navigation database a couple of cycles and it persists. I am careful to update the active and standby databases but it still wants to overwrite the active with an old database. There is no SD card in the top PFD slot...

Re: Bose Debuts New A30 Noise Canceling Headset
Shot a few approaches on Saturday with my CFII to shake off the cobwebs and try out the A30. The cable adapter worked great and it woke up on ship's power. A few things I noticed - At home beforehand I set up the Bluetooth connections to my phone and iPad. I hear an odd amount of clicking and poppin...

Re: Bose Debuts New A30 Noise Canceling Headset
Mine came today. I got the BT 6 pin LEMO connection and I have the genius power adapter which is untested in my DA40. I don't think it looks funny. I'll try it out on Saturday and give a Pirep. Great timing as I was about to pull the plug and upgrade my wife to Bose from the old DC's. I am refurbish...

Re: Battery drain during flight plan load.
Welcome neighbor! I leave my plane connected to a battery minder when it isn’t flying so for a database update or flight plan programming, battery drain isn’t an issue. That said, I haven’t had an issue running off battery for several minutes before startup when away from my hangar. With a slick sta...

Re: G1000 Legacy & NXI Software Upgrades Announcement
Legacy G1000 owners were also given some false hope from Diamond here and yet again disappointed. Back in late 2020 Diamond Canada actually had a plan for delivering DA40 Legacy G1000 GDU Version 15 -- following their certification of DA40 NXi Phase III. Since years later NXi Phase III still hasn't...

Re: DA40-Cockpit outside protection
+1 for Bruce's. They make good stuff. I have a hangar so I purchased the travel cover which is perfect for my needs - light, durable, fits well, and straps on quickly. They also make heavy duty covers for planes that live outside.
